Breakfast Blend Mask

It’s almost the end of January 2012 and perhaps for many of you, a New Year’s resolution was to lose weight or eat better.  Did you remember that breakfast is the most important meal of the day? Of course, you did.  And that’s why we chose key breakfast ingredients that you may already have to create a delicious face mask for a healthy glow.  Each ingredient is carefully chosen for natural benefits.

To make this, you will need the following ingredients:

4 strawberries

2 slices of papaya

1/2 banana

2 tbl plain Greek yogurt

1 tbl honey

1/4 cup sugar

  1.  Place ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Wash face and neck and pat dry – spread the paste on and leave for 15 minutes.
  3. Wash off completely with cold water.

The mask will feel pretty thin at first, but it will get a little thicker the longer it sets.

Strawberries contain Vitamin C, salicylic acid, antioxidants and exfoliants – all sources that help remove dead skin cells from the face as it tightens pores and brightens skin. Antioxidants combat skin damage to keep skin looking young and fresh. Strawberries also exfoliate the skin and remove impurities while keeping skin soft.

Papaya contains Vitamin A and papain. Vitamin A acts as an anti-oxidant, while the papain breaks down inactive proteins and removes dead skin cells.

Banana also contains Vitamin C and enhances the glow on your face.

Greek Yogurt refreshes the skin as it contains lactic acid, which can help to exfoliate and smooth out the skin.

Honey contains powerful antioxidants which fight free radicals and reverse aging. It also binds moisture to the skin and helps it stay hydrated.

Sugar helps the mask act as an exfoliant as well to leave the face soft and glowy.

Try this mask before a fabulous night out or for any special event where you can show off a healthy glow using natural ingredients. Let us know how you like this special breakfast blend mask.
